F3F in Poland

In the this month's issue of the German FMT magazin, our friend and F3F pilot Franz Demmler reported about the F3F scene in Poland (FMT 12, November 2010, pp. 104-105).
Although F3F is practiced in Poland for many years, it was only recently that contacts were made in Germany to try to bring more international interest on the Polish slopes and competitions.
In September, Franz traveled to Poland to participate to his first contest on the north coast of this neighboring country. Although the wind conditions were not ideal, different spots were flown or visited, showing the potential of this stretch of coast near Gdansk for F3F competitions.

Training day at Bethlehem slope. Polish F3F future is guaranteed!
I've stolen these cool pictures above from PIT and F3F 3city TEAM.
Thanks if this is ok, guys. Else, bash me!

As reported by Franz, the region is also very attractive for tourism, and accommodation, and he wrote food is excellent.
All these factors contribute to push Poland on the rank of the international F3F countries. This is why in the coming season 2011, there will be an F3F Contest Eurotour event on May 14-15th in Gdansk (check out my Eurotour 2011 map). To paraphrase Franz's conclusion of his well written article: "Welcome in European F3F, Poland"!
