Pre-Winter Training or Reading Weekend?

Wind forecasts for the coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are quite appealing. In the western Alps (where I live), around 2000m altitude, SMA forecasts southwesterly winds averaging 45 to 65 km/h. Meteocentrale announces 20-30 km/h average and 50-70 km/h gusts for Moléson between Friday and Saturday. It could even stay dry during those days! So I think I will take my chance again, making some drives uphill before snows blocks me down in the valley.
By the way, did you read the latest Radio Controlled Soaring Digest? For those who would not already know, Soaring Digest is an excellent free PDF magazine that just covers all the subjects we love. In the October issue, there's a large development of the last F3J World Championship that was held in Dôle, France, this summer. And there's also a superb picture shot by our friend Pierre Rondel on page 4! So do not miss it, and for those who discover the magazine, you'll have the numerous back issues to download and read this coming winter!
Cheers all.
